The Ford GT40 is an iconic racing car designed in the 1960s to beat Ferrari at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Developed by Ford as part of the "Total Performance" project, it embodies the combination of American power and European engineering expertise. Its name comes from its height: only 40 inches (1.02 meters). Equipped with a powerful V8 engine and an aerodynamic design, it dominated the famous endurance race with four consecutive victories from 1966 to 1969. Today, the GT40 is a symbol of performance and mechanical ingenuity, immortalized by the legendary Ford vs. Ferrari rivalry. Produced in very limited numbers, it has become a highly sought-after collector’s car. In 2005, Ford paid tribute with the modern Ford GT supercar, inspired by the original. The GT40 remains a legend in automotive and motorsport history.
Antoine DUFILHO’s interpretation of the Ford GT40 is a dynamic sculpture with sleek, streamlined lines—resolutely contemporary.
