The Blue BFF figurine created by KAWS in 2017 is an exclusive MoMA edition made of painted vinyl. It stands approximately 34.3 cm tall and features the character’s signature fuzzy texture along with the iconic crossed-out eyes. The piece is directly inspired by KAWS’s monumental BFF sculpture, seen in several urban installations. Upon release, demand was extremely high, causing a surge of traffic on the MoMA website. This figurine symbolizes the meeting point between contemporary art and design culture: a playful object yet deeply rooted in the emotional dimension of KAWS’s work.
