Originally, the artist KAWS released his Family figurines exclusively in Japan through an online lottery during the summer of 2021. The brand then launched them worldwide on September 13, 2021, much to the delight of fans. The KAWS Family Brown sets consist of a total of five characters: two Companions, two white Chums, and one blue BFF. Delivered in their original packaging, each set ranges in size from 8 to 34 cm. They were produced as part of a collaboration with Medicom Toy, which handled both manufacturing and global distribution.
