In the screen print Peace Dove Black, the dove — a universal emblem of peace — floats at the center of a black circle, highlighting its strength and resilience even in darkness. The surrounding ornamental mandala evokes a sense of unity and spirituality, while recalling the repetitive iconography typical of Shepard Fairey’s (OBEY) work. The choice of black as the background gives the message a militant gravity: peace is not naive, but a conscious struggle. Finally, the limited and numbered edition (550 copies) reinforces the idea that this symbol of peace is precious, rare, and to be preserved.
