An additional 300 copies are numbered and stamped but unsigned. The work is, of course, a tribute by INVADER to director Stanley KUBRICK and his famous film A Clockwork Orange.
The screen print Rubik Kubrick I – Alex (2006) by Invader blends pop culture and cinema, paying homage to the character Alex from Stanley Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange. The piece adopts Invader’s signature pixelated aesthetic, transforming the character’s face into a pattern reminiscent of a Rubik’s Cube. Bright, geometric colors create a strong contrast with the dark universe of the original film. This limited edition is signed, numbered, and stamped, enhancing its status as a collectible. The composition evokes nostalgia for retro video games while celebrating cinematic iconography. Rubik Kubrick I – Alex perfectly illustrates Invader’s ability to fuse pop culture with urban art.
