BIOGRAPHY

From the 1980s onwards, the American hip-hop movement acted like a wave in France, opening the way for young people to imbibe its codes. Zenoy is no exception to the rule. From 1988 onwards, he experimented with several "AWAISUN" tags, then "TRESH", before finally settling on "ZENOY" in the 90s.

In thirty years, Zenoy has left his mark on the urban landscape, tirelessly tagging his name on subways, trains and railways. Insatiable for recognition, he has succeeded in leaving a historic and unavoidable mark on the French graffiti landscape. Zenoy met a patron who believed in his talent and allowed him to create freely on canvas. Rich in this experience, Zenoy integrated many galleries and produces today his works on very varied mediums (Sculptures, mailboxes, pave stones...). This dynamic opens the way to numerous collaborations to the delight of the artist's collectors.

Zenoy's work comes from the street, graffiti and vandal writing that he now transposes onto canvas. His style is increasingly sought after. Seeking to harmonise colours and shapes, he draws on various personal experiences to give his productions new life. He creates his works on canvases, skateboards, letterboxes, and Bear Bricks, and still practices largely in the streets.

His style is now perfectly integrated into the contemporary urban art landscape: between tradition and innovation. With his direct and incisive lines, he plays with typography in a mixture of explosive colours and play of matter.

The Class Art Biarritz gallery offers multiple Full Colors and Skateboards by the artist Zenoy.
